This project to bring a wildflower meadow to Tollgate park came out of a combination of ideas from local people who wanted to see something done at Tollgate park and wanted to bring some wildlife into Margam.

Pupils of Groes Primary visited the park to discover what was living there before we started the work. They studied the plants that were growing in the grassland and what would be likely to be there when the meadow had grown.

 The children sowed the seed on a sunny September afternoon. They raked all the cut grass and scattered the seed.
