Jean-Francois (Jeff) Dulong
Community Gateways Project officer

I am one of two Community Gateway Project Officers, my role is to manage and deliver a broad range of community lead environmental and artistic projects throughout NPT.
I cover the Swansea, Afan and Dulais Valleys, Bryncoch, Coedffranc, Glynneath and Rhos.
I work with a broad range of community members of all ages, community groups, artists and partners to ensure that our projects are successful. A typical project will usually start with a public consultation to gather ideas from community members. Following the findings, I will provide support, organise workshops and deal with the administrative and financial aspect of the project up to its delivery. Depending on the nature of the project, I will get hands on and try to involve as many volunteers as possible so they can gain skills, ownership and look after the project.
Background
I was born and raised near Bordeaux in the South of France and moved to South Wales 13 years ago. I was self-employed in Swansea for 6 years and decided to have a change of career 5 years ago (best thing I ever did). I enrolled in Swansea Metropolitan University for a BSc in Environmental Conservation (which I will complete next year) and got an opportunity to work with Groundwork 3 years ago.
In my spare time I enjoy surfing, walking, climbing and general outdoor activities.
